Contracts workshop

Overview

A one day workshop on the practical application of managing a contract. Participants will walk through the lifecycle of managing a contract and conduct exercises to reinforce key aspects of contract management.

The course provides an outline of the key phases of contract management focusing on best practice principles outlined in recently released Department of Finance’s Contract Management Guide.

The course covers:

  • Pre-contract planning
  • Entering into a contract
  • Contract clauses broken down
  • Managing performance
  • Varying a contract
  • Discharging a contract

This course aims to develop knowledge in managing contracts, touching on in-depth concepts and themes. The course is best suited to:

  • staff responsible for managing a contract (low to high value/risk), and
  • managers of an area managing contracts.
